Jevaughn Blair receives a certificate of participation from Ms Vashtie Bacchas of the Meterological Service of Jamaica (MSJ), after updating his hydro-met data collection skills at a Voluntary Observer and Automatic Weather Station Partners Training Workshop conducted by the MSJ at the Appleton Estate on July 31, 2018. Jevaughn and his father are Voluntary Observers in Lititz, St Elizabeth and the data that they and other volunteers record are critical for in the MSJ's forecasting processes. About 150 Voluntary Observers and Automatic Weather Station Partners are being trained under the Planning Institute of Jamaica (PIOJ) Improving Climate Data and Information Management Project.
